Why does Fission use rear hub motors?

Rear hub motors increase our eBike's durability by transferring the force directly into the rear hub rather than through the chain. This drastically reduces the stress on the chain giving it a longer life. In the unlikely event that your chain would break, the hub motor, which operates separately from the chain, will still get you to your destination.

Where is the battery?

ST 500: The battery locks inside the frame and can be easily removed from the bottom of the downtube.  SO 500: The battery locks inside the frame and can be easily removed from the bottom of the downtube.   FM 750: The battery is attached to the top of the downtube and can be removed with a key.   FM 750x: The battery locks inside the frame and can be easily removed from the bottom of the downtube.   US 250: The battery is neatly concealed in the downtube.    XF 500: The battery is stored inside the toptube and can be removed, with a key, when the bike is folded.

Is the battery removable?

US 250: Yes, if the need ever arises, you can simply remove the battery by dropping out the bottom bracket and sliding the battery out. The bottom bracket is secured by three bolts that can be removed for easy access.   FM 500: Yes, if the need ever arises, you can simply remove the battery by unlocking it from the frame. A key will be attached to your bike when you unbox it.   XF 500: Yes, it can be removed, with a key, when the bike is folded.

What is the range on an eBike.

Pedal-assist- between 15 and 50 miles. Range varies depending on the terrain, inclines, weight, and several other factors.    The US 250 has a smaller battery that is paired with a smaller motor. A rider can expect to get between 10 - 30 miles on a single charge.    The XF 500 has a larger battery and a rider can expect a range between 15 - 35 miles.   The FM 500 has the largest battery, out of the three models, and can get a range between 15-50 miles.    These are all estimates and the results will vary depending on the riding conditions and the rider.   Human-power- as far as your legs will take you. This bike can be pedaled just like a normal (non-electric) bicycle.

Is there a warranty?

Yes. Our eBikes come with a 1 year warranty. They are constructed from 6061 aluminum and have high-quality components. We want you to enjoy your eBike for years to come! Does this bike have regenerative braking or peddling?

Accepted Answer

No. Our founder's background is in chemistry and physics. These systems actually decrease the overall range of the bike. Regenerative systems cause the bike to be heavier and have more motor resistance (required for regeneration). These two factors make them harder to pedal. You will be less tired and get more miles through normal pedaling.

No, these motors are maintenance-free. Our motors have already been tested by thousands of riders from around the world.

Our bike will go as fast as you can pedal.    Class I: Pedal Assist Only | Top Speed of 20 mph Class II: Pedal Assist and Throttle | Top Speed of 20 mph Class III: Pedal Assist and Throttle | Top Pedal Assist Speed of 28 mph
